The Automatic Pile Feeder belongs to the category of  handling feeding systems. It is a horizontal loading and feeding unit which is installed at the outfeed end of production lines.  Its function is to group products which are lying flat into piles and to transfer the piles into the infeed flights of the flowrapping machine(s). This pile feeder gently creates the piles in variable heights, varying from a single layer up to the maximum stable height. Products to be handled are typically biscuits, crackers, sandwich biscuits, toast slices or cracker breads.  The top of the range four-axis horizonal feeding unit is powered by 4 servomotors.  This version allows the stack height to be adjusted while the machine is running without interruption. There is also a two axis version powered by two servo motors.
