Se, dopo aver avviato il processo di battitura del fondente, il motore del rotore rischia di fermarsi a causa di un sovraccarico, l'alimentazione dello zucchero si interrompe automaticamente e la macchina viene lavata. L'acqua di lavaggio viene inviata allo scarico da una valvola pneumatica controllata. Non appena il sovraccarico (Amp meter) viene risolto, la produzione di fondente riprende automaticamente.
